5 Reasons to Use Digital Learning Stations in Your Class
Digital learning stations are becoming more popular with distance learning! Educational resources to keep students engaged are needed by so many teachers. For that reason, consider these reasons digital station will benefit your students and you.
Here are some of the reasons to consider using digital stations:
1. NO PREP!
You don’t have run to copy machine. Who is waiting in line at the copier? Not you! Are you cutting or folding papers? NOPE! You don’t have any extra work on your part other than looking through the station activities before hand.
2. Modes of Communcation
Using digital stations allows you to make sure students continue to get practice needed. Activities are targeted for reading and listening comprehension, writing, speaking, and grammar.
3. Self-grading with Google forms
You have three options!
- Students complete the activities in Google Slides and turn in their slides as PDF to your LMS (learning management system).
- Students submit their final answers to a self-grading Google Form.
- Have them turn in both. You have their work and the graded responses.
4. Paperless, Time-Saving, and Organization
Whether you are using the digital learning stations in the classroom or for online learning, it drastically cuts down the amount of paper used in stations.
Having everything digital helps with teacher organization. No need for folders or bins where students turn in station activity work.
