Need an icebreaker to use with students? Would you rather or ¿Qué prefieres? is the perfect ice breaker that you can use with any level of Spanish students. Would you rather activities are a great way to build relationships and get students engaged in the target language.
I created a presentation of 125 questions to get students thinking while exposing them to new vocabulary in the target language. These prompts are designed to get students laughing and having a good time while being introduced to new vocabulary or revisiting new vocabulary in context.
It is a low risk, high reward activity for students. They can respond in simple sí or no or extend a little more by using sentence starters prefiero… all in the target language with prompts on each slide or card.
3 Versions
Whole Class Voting
Want activity to get your students laughing? These questions are a great way to get students engaged in the target language and acquiring new vocabulary outside of units. This version has an option for you to record votes for students as you work through each prompt.
Another option is to play it a little like four corners. Have students go to opposite sides of the room to vote. Whether you vote on the presentation or with the student movement option, this is a great way to review numbers aloud by counting students.
Perfect for:
- Bellwork
- Time filler
Individual Student Response
Have students respond on their own Google slides form. Students will answer the prompt you assign and explain their response.
Each prompt in the presentation has a half-page response form for students to write their responses. This option is ideal for sub plans, exit tickets, and fast finishers.
There is also a blank student response form for you to create your own prompts for students or have students create prompts for classmates.
Perfect for:
- Exit ticket
- Partner conversation
- Sub plans
- Fast finishers
