Can you believe that April is already here? Check out some of my favorite April activities for Spanish Class. This month is the perfect opportunity to introduce another cultural event from Spain, La Semana Santa, and another holiday that highlights the importance of taking care of the environment, Earth Day or El Día de la Tierra.
La Semana Santa Reading Passage and Extension Activities
Want a comprehensible reading activity for students? With this resource students will explore the history and traditions of La Semana Santa with this Pasaporte Cultural two page reading passage. Students will answer comprehension questions about the holiday then review with the quiz quiz trade style activity.
Earth Day Color by Number
Did you know Earth Day is April 22nd? Use this activity as a chill activity that also introduces students to Earth Day vocabulary. Students will read a comprehensible reading passage and use it to answer comprehension questions to complete the color by number activity.

Earth Day Vocabulary Maze
Have you introduced Earth Day vocabulary to students? Use this vocabulary maze activity to give students more contact with Earth Day vocabulary. With this activity, students will make connections to vocabulary with images.
Earth Day Doodle Questions
Super simple activity! This is a NO PREP activity for you which is just what we need in April as we push toward the end of the semester.
Students will use an Earth Day key code to decode vocabulary related to Earth Day. The will insert an image on the digital format or draw an image on the paper version that represents each vocabulary word.
There is also a short passage included that student can decode or read to answer questions.
Earth Day I Have Who Has Boom Cards
This whole class activity has gone digital! Have you played I Have Who Has with your students? Use this Boom Card activity as a review tool for students learning about Earth Day in Spanish.
Earth Day Task Card Boom Cards
